6th Annual South Bend Jazz Festival

Party on the island: September 23rd

Century Center

Party to world class Jazz, and International music performers from Indonesia, Canada and Israel. Savor craft brew and great eats!

Welcome to the 6th Annual South Bend Jazz Festival, being held outside, on the island at the Century Center or inside the Great Hall, if weather dictates.

For over 5 years now, we aimed to build a world class Jazz and Music Festival right here in our own hometown of South Bend, Indiana. We started outside the Morris Center, six years ago at Jon Hunt Plaza. Last year moved to the Century Center after their generous offer to partner with us. This year we are excited to be once again at the beautiful Century Center, on the Island. We are also very excite to partner with the popular station, WVPE. This will be a fun event where you can meet your friends, make new ones, while also enjoying the breathtaking view of the St. Joseph River; while hearing exciting music you haven't seen before, sample tantalizing food and brew!

From 1pm till 11pm enjoy our artists, chosen for their talent and energy to keep the party going and dazzle the jazz and music enthusiast.

This year, Indonesian violin sensation Hendri Lamiri is teamed with our locally based Director of the Festival, saxophonist Danny Lerman. They will perform music from their forthcoming recording.

Canadian Rock-Jazz guitarist and Blujazz artist, Galen Weston excites with original high energy rock-jazz and funk, from his new album, which he is on tour with in the USA.

Israeli based saxophonist and Blujazz artist, Eli Degibri, will bring you joy with his astounding melodic inventiveness. You don't want to miss this.

Michelle Coltrane's big voice and improvisation does her father's namesake, John Coltrane, proud. She'll sing selections from her forthcoming recording on BluJazz records.

The new Darrel Tidaback Ensemble - features bassist Darrel Tidaback's compelling compositions and fantastic musicians living right here in the South Bend area.

We are proud to showcase for the first time ever, three first class groups from our area High Schools. The Clay High School Jazz Band, the Clay High School Choir and the Mishawaka High School Band and Choir. You will be impressed and moved by their talent!

See you there at the Festival!
