Hendri Lamiri is a legendary violinist in Indonesia. He was born in Pontianak, Borneo August 24, 1972 where he started violin at age 4 from his father (Lamiri Yahya), a great artist/composer himself. Hendri first performed for President Soeharto at the age of 6. He later joined the popular "Group 90." In 1993 he joined the legendary band KLAkustik and DEWA 19. He went on to form the band ARWANA and became a featured soloist and in-demand studio soloist in Indonesia.

Hendri has performed with the famous Indonesian symphonies; Orhestra Kalimantan Barat (Borneo, Symphonie Akcaya and Orchestra Erwin Gutawa He has guest starred with Sheyla Majid and headlined concerts at Asia’s largest festival, Java Jazz as well as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sarawak, Brunei, France, and Switzerland. Hendri will be recording a CD with Danny Lerman in August in Indonesia and making his USA debut at the South Bend Jazz Festival, September 23.
